Custom Caddy

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by C9, May 18, 2006.

  1. Here's a couple pics of a local under construction Caddy.

They brought it out for the 2nd day of the three day Fun Run weekend before last.

Neat car, the owner is a painter/bodyman and does nice work.

A lot of the locals have their paint done at his shop.

Is it a later car with earlier sheetmetal grafted on or is it an early car with a late roof?

Looks like a Rivi roof. Cool build.

  5. I haven't got a clue as to body panels used etc.

I may see the owner at Saturday's donut run.
If I do I'll get some more info.

  6. Oh, Snap! Thats a lot of body work. Looks like it will be awesome when its in suede with red steelies/WWW:D

It's beautiful, but nothing says "look at me" like driving a forklift on the street! Reminds me of how I got all kinds of attention when I used to drive a Bobcat to the gas station regularly. :)

I got a good look at that car on the way to VLV this year. Our caravan of cars stopped for lunch in Kingman at a diner near the shop where the car was being worked on. One of the fellas that worked at the shop spotted our machines in the parking lot and invited us over to see their shop. There was some neat stuff coming together in there, '39 Ford Tudor, '49/'50 Ford Woody, crazy little Anglia, that Caddy and some others.

As for the Caddy, I'm not all that crazy about the late model roof, but the rest of the mods are pretty darn cool and the workmanship and metal finish on it are top notch. All in all, a pretty cool machine.
