On the sides is going to be tough as you would have to fill the hole from the side trim and no one is going to risk damaging their dies punching through that mess.
Way cool! Mind sharing how you did that? i.e., did you fill the hood sides and then punch into the repaired hood? Or did you punch a flat sheet and then cut-n-past it into the hood? Or something else that I'm not thinking of?
How did you do that without warping the hood when you welded the panel into it? Did you hammer weld using a TIG?
I used a mig and took my time. Welding a tack every 1 1/2 inches or so and also alternating sides of the panel, then filling in between them, also alternate them as well. A tig would have been nice but I went with what I had.
