Hey every one . Today I notice my 51 ford with sbc is was leaking seems to be oil but when I notice is oil and gas. I don’t know what cause it . Because I haven’t drove the car in a week and check the oil last time I drove and oil level was good and today level oil was very high. My question is how can the gas going in if the engine hasn’t been on?? I have mechanical fuel pump . Could the gas travel while is off? Thanks for the help.

  2. If your fuel pump diaphragm has a hole in it and your pump is mounted lower than your fuel tank, it could gravity feed into your crankcase. Just a thought...

You know that could be it. My tank is higher. Also it’s been hot here where I live I was thinking the pressure in the tank could push the gas too. Thanks man.
