The compressor was running all day and it was HOT!! I accidently brushed my arm against a pipe and burned my arm pretty good. Like instant 3rd degree burn! So the first thing I see is the can of WD-40, so I grabbed it and squirted it on the burn. The burning went away and it felt better. So there ya go, another good use for the stuff.

I don't think I'd spray it on a flesh wound, but that is interesting.

I had a big wasps nest on my garage overhang once and I juiced it up with WD40. The wasps were paralyzed and the nest got heavy and fell off, then I crushed it with my shoe. Cheaper than wasp spray and worked great.

I read somewhere that it is totally safe. I believe it was on the WD-40 website.

I've taken old nasty spray guns, that look like they have never been cleaned, a soak in WD40, and they are like new.

My grandpas best friend was a pro daseball player in the late forties or early fifties i can't remember ( and I know nothing about baseball). and my grandpa said that wd-40 used them as test mules for joint pain and arthiritis. and that it worked great. he said they coulnt get aproval from the fda to use it like that.

People have been using ****er or margarine for burns for years......problem is it makes the burn feel better and is soothing but it damages the burn even more by keeping in the heat.............any oil based product is a no no on a burn.............but then again a small burn would be OK, I hate to think of someone with bad burns and skin hanging off and ****, and we all stand around with a tin of wd40 sprayin him...ouch poor ****** would like one of those cooked pekin ducks that hang in chinese resturants..........but if it works........us it. Its good to use as an underarm spray so the sweet scent reminds my sorry *** to get back in the shed:D .....................Bert

This rodders wife was in the hospital having a baby when the dr. said you have a baby boy, went away, came back said you also have a girl, went away, came back said you have another boy. Later his wife said how did this happen, he told her , remember the night we ran out of vasiline an I used 3-1 oil, aren't you glad I didn't use wd40

  15. there was a page someone emailed me a while back on the origin and uses of WD-40. very interesting, i'll try and find it

  16. If I were that bady burned, the last thing I'd want on me is a flammable spray.

The problem with ****er is the high salt content. Ever heard of throwing salt in a wound? That's what you're doing.

As a kid I burnt my leg pretty good one day on my dirt bike. Mom wasn't home, dad wasn't a nurse by any stretch... put ****er on my burn... hurt like hell and scarred for life!

Now that I'm all grown up and have kids of my own, I'm using WD-40 on them!:)

WD40 it's self, for the most part, doesn't burn pretty well. However, the aresol cans use propane as a propellant.

I have a friend who insists on using it on his vinyl top and vinyl interior. He swears by it but I have my doubts.

i spray my 4-wheeler down with wd40 before we ride.....makes it look like new and seems to help the mud fall off....i buy it by the gallon and use a spray bottle.....i get dad a gallon and he gets me a gallon just about every year for Christmas.....kind of become the family joke...

  23. The other night I was working out in the driveway at my pop's house and I was looking of shelf for some off or cutter to keep the *****ers from feeding on me, I did however find some wd40 and thought, wtf??? sprayed a little bit on my forearms and it worked like a champ!

  24. Before i grill hot dogs and hamburgers i marinate them in wd-40 for 30 min. They taste great.

This could be way off, cause it doesn't sound like a good idea to me - but I heard from someone years ago that said they burned their arm real bad, and they put it in gasoline on the way to the hospital. Something about the gas keeping oxygen away from the burn, stopped the pain.

Like I said, I don't think I'd be the one to test this theory.

My dad was a college strength coach and proffessional Cowboy ( Steer Wrestler) and he said the old guys used it on their knee's and other hurt joints and swore by it. Might work nbut your sill putting petroleum products in your bloodstream so it can't be the best thing for ya.

There was an old German guy with a VW shop in Nor Cal that wore shorts all the time... He sprayed his legs with WD for about 30 years, several times a day. He had some skin disorder that made his skin really tough and leathery. He said WD did more to soften his skin than all the doctor perscribed creams they had given him..... I asked if he thought it was bad for him, and he said that if smoking, drinking and Hitler could not kill him, he was not worried about a little spray....:D The only thing I use it for now is as a great Disel starting fluid....

  29. I heard if you spray WD40 on JB Weld, they both disappear in a puff of smoke.

I mix it with Captain Morgan.

When I throw up, there are no restrictions.
