hey. i need a new master cylinder for my 1954 chevy. someone on here a while ago mentioned a diffrent master cylinder that is a direct replacement but is a lot better quality, or something. maybe from a 1957 chevy or something? sound familiar? what will work better? thanks a lot. jeff

I used the ECI Bracket and a $20 modern dial res MC from the parts store. The ECI bracket is a bolt on, you do need to drill and tap your stock pedal pivot. If all goes well you can have it installed and new lines run in a saturday afternoon. If you break off the tap in the pedal it will take all day! Dont ask.
National Chevy ***ociation has a under floor m/c set up that they say will work with either manual or automatics. I've seen it in their print catalog a couple of times but it doesn't appear to be on the website any where.
