Man am i smoked. I dont know how much im going to type tonight but there is a bunch to say about today.Did we ever make uo for yesterdays slow progress today. Hack was here at the crack a dawn working it as i had to go to the laundrymat:rolleyes: By the tim i got done with 6 loads he had the rest of the front al painted and the steering box in a few more lines ran. He was back to his ol self today...

I went this morning as the laundry was going and dropped the drums off to be turned. And the call came in that the shocks i orderd tuesday were in. So after running around chassing parts down i got back into the roof. Got the driver side c pillar all tacked in place and lined up. I started messing with the back window when i relized the section of roof i cut off the parts car was just way to big to work with. I cut it down to make it easier on my self. and spent the better part of the afternoon meseuring every thing and making sure the window was dead nuts on center before making a few braces to hold it in place. All the while hack was busey on geting the front brakes done.Of course this was after i fixed my fuck up of putting the springs in before the shocks last night. but he was putting the rear shocks on while i did that so no time lost there.

So after that i jumped over and packed the wheel bearings while hack was getting the back brakes adjusted and getting the wheels and drums put back on. Once the wheel bearings were done i left it up to him to get the front brakes adjusted and every thing put back together.

Then it was time to put her back on all fours again. I was excited to see how she sat. Wasnt real low at first but after jumping on the fucker a few times to get the coils to seat right she was wayy down there.

Hack made a beer run and i had a wild hair up my ass to set the motor and trans in place so i got ready for that. And by the time he got back i was ready to set the shit in place.

This was just a ruff mock up to see where we were as far as clearence and shit goes. but we got her preet well centerd and shit and just set it down in place for the night. About then the springs really seated them selfs and damn does this bitch sit down there. I may have to remove the 1" drop blocks but well see where we sit once all the weight is on it front and rear.

But the motor fits great only issue is the cnter link will have to be bent out of place about a 1/4 to 1/2" once we get the mounts made tommrow. The radiator hack donated should work out great but my only issue is a pusher fan. but we put a 160 stat in it and we still may be able to fit a thing mechanical once its all said and done so well see.

But over all it was a very prductive day. tommrow im going to weld up some trans and motor mounts real fast and let hack get crazy on running trans lines and what not and ill get back into the roof real heavy the next two days. Sunday is the day that i want the body on the frame. We have to stick to the time line in order to make it.

Any way here are a bunch of pics. Hack looks sooooooo little driving the roller:D

The S10 is getting towed up to the shop saturday, so its getting blown apart and the 49 is getting stripped down so I can pull the body off the frame.

You're right, Hack looks mighty wee in that picture. You sure that's not the frame to a motor home or something?

I wonder how much lower it's gonna get once the weight of the body is thrown back on it. That chop is lookin' pretty sweet, I like that forward look.
