Hi guys. Looking for sugestions / recomendations for what drum brakes to fit to my 40s Ford round back spindles on a dropped I beam.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks. I was thinking of F100 brakes but I don't know too much about them and wonders what the alternatives are .

Hi 31 Vicky. No too sure, I've built lots of customs but just gathering parts and educating myself on the rod stuff. I want it to be traditional but not look like I've just bought everything off a shopping list of "must have parts" if you know what I mean. If it works, it's relatively basic and looks like it belongs I'd be very happy.

    53-56 F100 are 11"
    53-56 F250 are 12"
There have been numerous how-to's over the years on converting to either. Try the search for details.
The late Deuce Roadster had a straight forward post on the F100's with bearing numbers, etc.

    Good stuff.

The truck f100 and f250 are good and look the part.
And Work way better than they need to stop a light weight hot rod

Thanks for the replies everyone. Decided to go with 40 bendix style breaks.
