I will look, but I kind of doubt it. I think I only saw it out running around this once.

A snap shot featuring mostly cars from the Denver Detonators CC with Jim Ireland's (@Irishjr) new '26 T coupe peeking out from behind.

Dan, that dark blue Dodge Brothers Roadster is a 1924 and as the plate says, he is from Missouri. Said he was there with the Montana Dodge Boys.

Doug, I don't believe the wheels on it are DB. Very similar but notice the deep offset from the disc to the rim. Never seen any like that. My 24" DB wheels look just like my 20" and 21" disc wheels. His spare is a 20" DB wheel too, said he couldn't find another 24" wheel.

Thank you so much for that information Dave (@dwollam). For some reason, it drives me crazy when I don't know.

"The door seems to be stuck..." - - Jim Ireland (@Irishjr) and his friend Jim after riding around in Brent Holloway's '35 Ford ex stock car. Funny because the doors are welded shut and entry and exit are via the hole in the roof.

Dave, according to Rodger they were only used in '22. My '25 wheels and all others I have seen have offsets like the spare and fronts. The '22 sedan we saw in the museum in Wisconsin this summer had four of those riveted wheels on it. I have never seen any others. I should have been at B-ville to see it with you.

Okay, that is new info for me. I know they still had 24" (32x4 tires) discs in '24 but I didn't know '22's were different. Learn something every day. Thanks.

    You're welcome @Sakke - I definitely did have a good time.
@grapeboy - I'm not sure which one that is - do you know anything else about it? It is really tedious finding anything in the Speed Week records and they don't list by type of car - only entry name.

Here is another Studebaker entered by the South Omaha Boys, a BG/GCC that cracked 200mph.

Thank you @grumpy32. I hope it comes out that good or better too.
Thanks a lot @Stogy. A lot of the photos and the cars from this event lent themselves to all sorts of artistic treatments. I have quite a few more alternative versions that I haven't posted, but will post some of them. The comment means a lot coming from a fellow artistic car photographer like you.

Like to see that zipping down the salt at night with the lights on it would be quite the sight...but one can imagine at 170mph things can adjust on their own......heck maybe that helped keep downward pressure on the front end helping it stay grounded

I did kind of wonder why they were on at such a weird angle. Can't imagine they are much use at that speed.

The same thing in sepia tinted monochrome, just so you all can see what a wide variety of looks are possible sometimes. Speed Week 2018 OMD-2012_tonemapped-6.jpg

One thing I found surprising, was that there was not much in the way of food vendors. On Sunday I did see (and hear) this ice cream truck. What better way to enjoy the treats from that truck than to consume them in the rumple seat of a Model A roadster
