#2 Paid $250.00 for a trans and rear end. #3 Paid $400.00 for a 1953 Ford. Engine ran good. Parted out the rest of the car. #4 Purchased an adapter plate and a sub-frame. Not a Funk kit. #5 I adapted a Studebaker 6 cylinder starter. #6 Extended the hood 6". # 7 Metal finished the hood. #8 Stainless steel exhaust. 32 manifolds. Fabbed the gas tank. Repro fenders required lots of work for show. #9 I bought a core and built a very tall radiator. #10 Finished.
The axles can't handle 100 HP. Even the 1939 [1st year on the N series tractors] smooth axles were not strong enough for the 4 cylinder engine. Many had to be replaced with these later riveted ones.
