    Hi all,

Chasing a measurement for the side splash aprons on a model A so I can work out my ground clearance. What is the dimension from the top of the frame to the bottom of the running board using standard fenders/aprons/running boards?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

The running board brackets dictate ground clearance.

Measured the coupe, 10" at the brackets and 10 1/2" at the rear.

    Thanks to you both.
Am I right in assuming that the front fender mounted to frame will dictate where the running board will sit as it attaches to the rear of the fender.
@catdad49, are those measurements from the top of the splash apron where it mounts to the top of the frame down to the bottom of the running board? Seems like this would be a set dimension for standard setup.

Sorry Grump, measurement is from the top of the frame to the bottom of the running board bracket, 10" front, 10 1/2" rear.

  7. The running board mount is the dictator. It's fixed and stationary, the fender and board just join each other. neither are adjustable, in factory form that is. I'm assuming your trying to mount things up without a stock frame or running board mounts.

    Thanks again for the info.
Just trying to figure out if I can set my frame up lower to groung level and adjust apron/running board height for reasonable ground clearance. Guessing not as it all seems set by front fender, although anything is possible with huge modification and fabrication work. Not so keen on getting into that!!!
