    Hello All
I might have an opportunity to pick up a 1953 Mercury convertible project that comes with lots of parts but no interior. I have a complete interior from a 1953 Mercury HT coupe and I know that the front seat and door panels will fit the convertible with no issues. However does anyone one here know if the rear seat and side panels will also work in the convertible or are they different and if so what is the differences?
    Thx.

front seat and door panels should fit no problem
rear seat back may be different. rear side panels are different due to roof frame clearance.
there was a set of (Ford-should be same)convertible side panels on ebay - don't know if still listed
    Hope this helps

The rear is quite a bit different than the H/T in the Merc. You would have to compare if the Ford is the same as this.

Thanks for the information guys. I am not sure about the rear seat or not but the HT coupe side panels wont work however they do step out like the convertibles but just not tall enough so the rear seat just may work.

For the 400X2 pretty sure you could modify the HT sides and cut the back down. If you do go that way I would be happy to get some measurements off of mine, and I know someone who is looking for the rear seat ash trays and coutesy light switch

If I end up acquiring this car I think I would p*** on the eBay side panels at that price. A buddy of mine could more than likely make me a set of replacements far cheaper than that in his fab shop. Thanks for all the information guys.
