I just went through this last year. Check out the link below. I also had a C4 and ran 1/8 pipe / 6AN fittings and braided lines from the radiator to the ******. They make a special fitting for the C4 trans to 6AN as well.

I'm running a Champion aluminum 2-row radiator (model EC340) for a 67-69 Mustang, along with a Flexalite electric fan; works like a charm. All I did to mount mine was cut some 2" sheet steel and use that to connect the mounting flanges on the radiator to the stock radiator support.

Your choice of radiators when doing this swap depends on what your original engine was,if it was a Six cylinder car the front splash pan is different this allowed the radiator to be mounted more forward in Echo of Gecko's case he is also using the early "short" water pump and balancer this will gain another 3" of clearance and the lower hose is on the p***enger side 1970 and later "long" pumps have a drivers side lower hose. ;)

I used a Walker radiator that is designed for the 52-54 Fords and used a steel bladed 17" mechanical fan and this past weekend I put it to the test, we sat in bumper to bumper traffic in Atlanta, Georgia and crept along from a dead stop to a crawl for about 8 miles and it was hotter that a 4 balled tom cat, the car never got hotter than 210 and that was for over a hour & a half.

I was the only on that overheated ( aggravated ) not the car.

The transmission cooler in the radiator is there but I have a T-5 so I don't use it. HRP
