1952-59 Ford Help finding Rear Drum for 54 customline

Hello I am a long time lurker of the forum and was hoping you all could help me find the right part.
I have a 54 Customline and its rear drums cant be turned.
When i look online to find replacement drums it seems everyone is out of stock, or the part looks different than my current drums.
I was looking at the guide that shows how to make them self adjusting, and i ordered everything on the list, but the drums themselves arent listed.

are these the same as on the 56 wagon?

 

wagons and sedan deliveries usually were a wider drum.I think they would work if you changed the shoes to the narrow car ones.by narrow it is likely only 1/4''

 

No they are not, your '56 wagon uses the 11" X 2" shoes 228's these were also used on the 1957-59 9'' rear cars and drums are extremely rare but these will interchange with yours. Shipping from the U.S. to Canada because of Customs and tariffs probably adds up these days and it looks like Trudeau doesn't want to deal with Trump to make things better and more equal regarding trade. I can't see any reason Canadians would want to keep him in office.

2626Rs have come but they are unfortunately the wrong drum.
The pictures of the one on Raybestos look correct, however the ones that i got from amazon are different.
The rear side doesn't have an outer ring on these ones which would set around the backing plate.
These also have holes in between the lug nut holes where my stock ones dont.

Did i get the wrong part in the right box from two different vendors or is it a different part?

The link you gave is up, but it says out of stock, and each of the ones i bought used that same stock photo(and one was $13 with free shipping).

Both of them have Raybestos labels for 2626R.

Thanks for verifying that i am not crazy and these are just the wrong part in a box labeled 2626R.
Will just get them off of rockauto and hope they send out the right thing this time.

 

Since you have done the self adjuster up grade,stop by Autozone and compare a Duralast 8193 to your old drum it is for a 1968 Mustang rear drum which uses the same shoes as the '54 you could try them and return if they won't work then you won't have to mess with shipping.

 

Any luck with the drums ? The E-100 drums I mentioned earlier worked for a couple of members about 4-5 years back when Autozone listed them as the same part number which they no longer do so maybe a vendor change accounts for that,most drums now are coming out of China what was the country of origin on the ones you received?

 

The 2626R no longer look like they do on the Raybestos website.
They do seem to fit however, they just lack an outer dust ring.

Then you should be good to go then,guess with no dust ring they will get more air which is OK. Rain maybe not so much.
