Simply perfect. Great idea on the logo thing "...gl*** bodies". I like that. i see no "dark side" to this car at all. Thanks to you and Ryan for sharing.
Too weird, I was just thinking about the soybean factor this morning. "Izzat gl*** or steel?" "It's soybean." "What?" And then launch into the story about how Henry was experimenting in the mid thirties with soybean plastics but didn't want the other manufacturers to know, so he rebodied T's and A's knowing people would ignore them.
I have never liked gl*** cars, and would never own one,but i've seen a few that completly changed my stand. There were two *****in '32 roadsters at the HAMB bar-b-que that blew me away! One of them just sold at the Back to the Beach show for 30k!The other one looks like steel, with a steel firewall, real '32 frame,details-details is right. Also, I love that green '37 that was at the Mooneyes Bar-b-que,that was made to looks like a steel survivor. The gl*** cars I hate, are the Boyd style, smoothy ****.Those Coast to Coast, same as the next guy,'37's are filling up the car shows, taking up space of the guys who really build cars. Not those guys who slap down the green and have a shop build them a turn key replica.I think thats why the "rat rod" thing is really taken off.Guys can build a car at home, and not spend thousands, and get the respect of other car guys.
this subject will always divide the room!! That is a real nice coupe, fibergl*** or not! Like so many other HAMBers out there said,"it's all in the details"! By the way all you ******** Henry Ford lovin' steel lovers, i just saw a 1933 ford body several weeks ago in a "specialty" used car magazine for the paltry (cheap) price of $10.000!!! **** That!!!
Gl*** is OK, steel is ok too......traditional is more about sweat equity, your own ideas and the balls to carry it out to the best of your ability and see it thru rather than the material you build it out of. Rat
hi i've been watching your 34 on ebay but i didn't have the money at the time now my buddy offered me 30.000for my 40 ford and i want to buy another car how about your 34 can you deal with that number 30k thanks joe from portland ore.
they were making fibergl*** bodies in the 60's right? so why arent they traditional? doesnt matter much to me as long as theyre done right, and the car is driven hard.
