1952-59 Ford 56 firewall

So here was the idea. I wanted to widen the 'hump' (recess) on the firewall...so...extra center section, cut and paste (kinda) and it would look OEM...but still give me more room for engine set-back (Boss 351). Wish I would have take a welding cl***...but it worked out. Mostly welded from behind!

Thanks all....351c has a higher deck,heads and valve covers than a 302...wanted to set it back as far as possible. Driver side needed the same extra clearance as the stock hump on the p***enger side.

 

I have a friend in Baton Rouge that wants to put a Cleveland into his 56. I am doing a 460 in mine. Keep us posted.
