Last weekend the 1st Rod'n'Ride Customshow was held in Graz/Austria in an old industrial building. Beautiful location, great cars/bikes and the best thing - they managed to bring Gene Winfield to the show. I participated with my 1950 Mercury and of course had to have the master himself sign my glovebox.

Sorry for the ****py phonepics, but I forgot the battery pack for my NIKON at home.

This is not really HAMB stuff but this is very interesting. I think it's a 55 Ford but I could be wrong

It was built from a 4-door 1956 Ford Victoria.

The 56 Ford is Roberts car, he put the top on backwards. I think he built it 15 or more years ago. My friend Günter invited Gene to come over for breakfast on Sunday, which was unbelievable...
It was good to listen to all his stories, the tech tips he shared how we should build or modify our metalshaping tools.
It is amazing what kind of energy he has. I wanna be like him when I grow up. SYFJ5820.jpg CVQT2356[1].jpg

I think this photo below is so funny I just have to share it!
hahahaha, it just looks like the only guy that wasn´t caught chewing and in surprise was my friend Mike , the guy to the left to took this pic while me, my friend Damir and Gene were not quite ready...but I get the 1st place in the "lookin dumb department" hahahha
It´s not everyday that you have breakfast with Gene Winfield.

Thanks for the pictures great bunch of kustoms and hotrods. But the topper is the location that is so kool using that old building and the grounds around it. Sure beats a fair grounds or a store parking lot.

Yes, that was a "Burnout" made of tissue paper, a painted piece of plywood and some lights. The owner also had a vintage vinyl player and one of those 60ies "Drag Race Sound" vinyls. Visitors could sit in the Kellison and virtually enjoy some 60ies drag race feeling.
