    Hi all,

Is the 1941 Pontiac Straight 8 engine the same as other GM engines from the time?
I'm looking for a split intake and having no luck whatsoever, but I'm only searching for a "41 Pontiac straight 8 manifold" which is coming up full of dead ends.
Other option is to buy a couple of standard intakes and commission a local company to make me one out of the 2.
Or if someone has a manifold and is willing to sell it to me....? :D

    Thanks
    Mark

Just noticed where you're located; I can see your difficulty in getting parts. Maybe you would be miles ahead getting one fabbed up locally by a welding shop?

Haha. Yea I’m used to waiting 2-3 weeks on deliveries and the added expense of import taxes!

Anyway. No the Pontiac is not the same as other GM engines. Many people, myself included, have fabbed intake manifolds from tubing and 5/16 or 3/8 steel plate. I think that would be your most expedient way to go.
