I am sick and tired of all the crap floating around some of the sites out there. All I want(need) is some simple information, but a guy has to register, wait up to 2 days to be ok`ed, and 1 site wanted up to 200bucks(premium membership). Don`t send me to fordfe.com. been dere dun dat. This is what I need.

    I have a fe motor...casting # D4TE with heads #D2TE

! site says this is a 390, another says its a 391 Truck motor, another says could be a 428 (I need to check stroke on this one.)

I also have a set of heads(also fe motor) #C3AL

Can someone here PLEASE HELP????? I started out with a full head of hair....

  2. Most likely a low compression 390 or 360 1974 with 72 heads.

    i'll check #'s on the 63 heads.

I should add, although it probably won`t make any difference, the D2 motor has a 4 barrel intake witha D5 start to the part #, it has 61,000 miles and has NOT been apart. All exterior paint and paint markings are intact.

D2TE..........(1972 Truck engine head)My head book doesn't go up that high....
C3AL..........Don't have that # listed........i do show several C3AE-(Letter missing)......it could be part of the E is rubbed off.........Find the letter after the dash and i will look it up for you.......(think it is a 427 low riser head)
