I can't believe I won the auction... My fiance's gonna be pissed...

I can't wait to get it home and started on it, I think it'll be an fun project, normally I have time but not the money, honestly with this car I think it'll be the opposite, what needs done won't take a bunch of money just time and sweat.

That's job one, take off the fenders and running boards so I can get a good clear look at what's stayin'. As cool as it looks that 4 banger ain't gonna get it done, but I'm even thinking that instead of spending the thousand or 2 to finish off the 351C (machining alone gonna cost a small fortune), I'll just keep an eye out for a running motor to toss in it. As far as using the Cougar for donor parts, to be honest, and to sound like a dumbass, I never really considered it. I could yank the 9" outta there and swap it and be done with it, which would be VERY nice. It's got ratty discs on the front, so those probably wouldn't come.

My fiance now not only doesn't care, I think she likes it. I've been showing her pictures of hot rodded A's and what I like and I don't, and she's gotten a bit more into it. She's actually helping me find a trailer, which is turning out to be a big PITA, the owner said he wouldn't trust the wheel bearings to just use a 2-wheel dolly, which I can get and pull confidently with my Explorer, but that he'd use a full trailer that thus far isn't NEARLY as easy to come by.

 

Tell you what. If she ain't good with you getting a project, might be a clue for times ahead. Just sayin. Good luck with either "project", looks good to me.
