I downloaded the Cars trailer and I think the Paul Newman character - uh - car is a kustom hudson. But what kinda grill is it wearing, cause it looks kinda cool.

Uh, I think it is a standard 51 grille. I'll have to look, but I know for sure that the sidetrim on the 'toon is 51.

We modeled Doc Hudson as a 51 Hornet coupe-- Exactly what they raced when Petty, Marshall, and the crew dominated NASCAR seasons of 51, 52, and 53.

The grille might look a little funky because its also his mouth- making chrome split and move like lips without looking strange is pretty hard.

If you go see the movie, you'll notice that the details on the car are really accurate- suspension, lug pattern, etc. We went a little nuts! :D

Hey thanks for the info. I went online and realized it was a 51 grill, which is gonna be the first thing I change on my 50.

You do realize that when you put a 51 Grill in, the thing's not going to start talking, right?

OOOh-- We might have blown it on the wheel bolts--- He does have bias ply tires and the "step down" ch***is right.

The whels bolts are forgiveable since you have a hudson as a main character in your movie. I could have settled for just a hudson, but it looks damn nice in the preview stuff I have seen.
