All, my 1961 Coupe got stolen out of my building sometime this week but most likely early Saturday morning on September 29, because the neighbors notice the security door open when he picked up his mail. The thieves closed up the overhead door and walked out through the side door but both doors sprung open. Which was the saver because they would have come back to get the rest. They work hard to get through the yard door but eventually made it through a swamp cooler opening which would have required a very small person to get in. If anybody has seen this car please contact the Nye County Sheriff's Department at 775-751-7000. The car in question is a 1961 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, light faded blue with maroon primer showing through the top, a long crack runs across the top of the windshield. There is severe rust cancer in both fenders in front next the headlights and at the rear lower corner. The interior is still the original blue leather/fabric combo but heavily worn. The front seat is covered with a light blue blanket and the rear with a Mexican blanket. I've converted the front brakes to disks with stock Caddy parts and the brake booster and MC has also been changed to a 70's style; bake up lights don't work because of a conversion to a TH 400. There's a Sanden aluminum AC compressor mounted but not hooked up and two stainless rectangular exhaust tips are welded in.
Update: The Caddy has been found abandoned, out of gas with a busted trunk lock and missing ignition switch at an intersection one mile down the county road Sunday afternoon.
