Manufacture Date of Halibrand Q.C.

I have a Halibrand Quick Change I"m trying to identify. It is has :Halibrand Torrance Ca. # 301 on the cover and the main body of it. I"m not sure what it came out of, but judging from the black dirt packed on the fins it would appear it raced on dirt some time ago. Thanks for any help.......... Phil

i don't know if there is any way to acccuratley date them , other than the fact Halibrand was started in 1947 in Culver city...so the very first ones will have culver city cast into them

they moved to Torrance sometime later...i don't know what year

i believe they moved to el cajon sometime in the early 80's...then was moved to kansas ,maybe early 90's?

so, if someone knows what year they moved to torrance , a range of years could be narrowed down

 

Hell, I heard they went belly up. I guess someone has them up and running again.
