After spending the morning talking with Brad and excited to hit the road I didn’t think the expressway would be jammed up at noon ... I was wrong.
For the 4 weeks of time it took me to come up with the money for the car I had completely exhausted myself in every aspect.
I was physically exhausted and running on pure adrenaline.
I was falling asleep behind the wheel at noon stuck in traffic but the passers by kept me smiling and awake with the thumbs ups and horn honking as they drove past ... pretty awesome.
I can’t take credit for building it, but I earned the hell outta this little car.

Taking in all the details and locking them in the mental vault

Giving Mike the thumbs up to tow me up on the trailer
    [IMG]
There’s not a bad angle to look at this car it’s damn perfect. [IMG][IMG]

Brad had asked when I thought I’d have it driving on the road ... “maybe next spring?”
Mike Bowling said ... “Well let’s see it’s about noon now ... by the end of the day probably.”
    Hahaha

It hit the pavement in my driveway and the tools came out ...

Stuck in traffic on my way home w/ Mr. B following snapping pictures.

It’s a blessing and a curse my friend.
I don’t know when to stop sometimes ... thank god for coffee !!

My girlfriend asks me almost daily if I’m tired and is always surprised how much I get done.
The answer is always the same. “I’m exhausted, but I want more things today than sleep”

It always pays off in the end. [emoji1360]

Within hours of the car being in its new home, I had flushed the fuel system and changed out the needed components to get fuel to the carbs, I swapped out the fuel pump, cap/rotor. New battery, Sandblasted the existing plugs, replaced the belts, poured some marvel in the cylinders.

The next day I had it outside of the garage running for the first time in years.
The carbs needed going through. I was only getting fuel in 1 carb. But it was running !!
    IMG_2160.JPG

Joe (51Box) came over and helped me run through the systems and we fired it up.

Once I got it back in the garage I got it up on jack stands and dive into it a bit deeper.

Pulled the carbs off and gave them all a deep cleaning in a tub of 93 & Acetone.
I had ordered 4 new rebuilds that one at a time I installed.
Replaced the air filter elements infer the covers.
I want to leave the car as much “as found” as I can. At least for now.

I’ll fill you guys in on the build sheet Of parts Brad somehow managed to morph together is building this car.
It’s as cool as it gets [emoji41][emoji1360]

Thanks to all you guys who have good things to say.

I was hoping this car would be well perceived on here.
There’s a few parts that may not fit the parameters of the H.A.M.B. but hopefully the moderators will let this one slide because of the time it was built and the uniqueness of the car.

    Enjoy !

I’ll look at them when I get to the house later and post up some pics ... they’re not what they appear.
    I’ll just say that.

They have been replaced but I kept them in the storage container.

I know the size is 9.00-15.
    I replaced them with G78-15’s.
Narrower tread but the height is spot on.

    I’ll post it up later.

    Thanks again

I too, must say again, it is such a sweet ride. Ditto everything said above by Jer. I am just in awe on the coolness that oozes from this ride, even if it's a "later" build. It still captures an era, and is not so over the top that it isn't near timeless.

My only hope is maybe the tail lights get changed? It just doesn't look right to me. But god, everything else is pretty much there and in the right spots from my view. What a great story, keep it up!

The only thing I plan to change going forward is the oil [emoji16][emoji1360]

I dig the lights and his creativity to color outside the lines.
The fact they’re not even meant to be tail lights and turn signals is the best part.

    Coolness overload.
