Hey guys, first time poster. I've got a 35 Ford 1.5 Ton I'm Looking at redoing. My grandpa gave it to my father and I would like to get it going. It's been sitting outside for around 40 years. The cab is solid other than the panel above the windshield. It appears that the windshield was leaking and the water pooled in here and rusted it out. I was wondering if anyone else has had this before and successfully repaired it? Are there any places that would sell this panel? Thanks 20181014_162649.jpg 20181018_181734.jpg 20181018_181808.jpg

That is most likely rotted due to mice living up there. Mouse pee will rot things faster than water.

Your best bet for that panel is to find someone with a cab that rusted out from the bottom up.

It's only metal! Anything is repairable. Blast it and see where you stand.

Yeah that's what it's looking like. I'll have some time to run across one at least.

Hit the nail on the head! My '37 cab was the same way. I haven't got around to fixing it yet, someday.

I actually haven't even made it that far yet! Work has been busy preparing for winter. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get a chance to check it out!

Get ready for it, I've been busy cutting and splitting firewood. PRIORITIES!
