Hi All, I just stumbled across this online and thought I would share it. Pretty freakin' cool! Now how about a 409 version? Enjoy!
Any idea on scale ? I have a few 1/8 32s in real need of one of these . It looks abit larger than 1/8 scale .
My guess is that it is 1/4 scale. For those like me who are into 3D printers you can download all the files on Thingiverse and build your own.
Truly awesome! My only question is...……...when is someone gonna step up and start 3D printing some of the thousands of parts that are made of unobtainium in our hot rodding world? Seems like there'd be a sizeable market out there!
Probably when costs to print come down to a level where things could actually be produced for a price that would sell. You could get anything you wanted printed now it's just a matter of how much are you willing to pay to have it done.
A friend of mine was learning how to use his 3 D printer. My 61 Galaxie, 223, 1bbl has a plastic part on the carb that disintegrated upon touch. He took one of my other ones and printed it. Better, newer, stronger, 10 of em.
Cool that it’s not a stocker either. Eddie Meyer intake with 97’s, Offy/Navarro-ish heads. Wonder if he stroked it with a Merc crank? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I am 3d printing one of these now, looking at adding a second machine. I will make them available for purchase once I complete the first build. The engine block takes an entire 24 hours to print.
A company wanted $250 just to print the block, I ordered my 3d printer the next day. The parts that make it all work (minus the 3d printed parts) come in a kit for $100.
Being never content I would like a Blown Baby Hemi with all the usual & unusual bling. Guess we could call it a Infant Hemi.....................................
Hmmm....I could sneak in a few parts a week on our university's printers....might have one done by the time I retired Here are the files. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2537602
