^^^^^In one pic of the Gypsy Wealth Wagon, the artiste' has worn himself out, and is fast asleep under the 'fantail'...

If someone did that to my tub, I'd...I'd...Well, I'm sure I'd report him to the proper authorities.

Okay guys, glad I was todays entertainment for ya all. I spelled it your way the first time, looked wrong, spelled it the second time, still looked wrong. I've said in the past spelling is not my strong point, but then come to think of it, I have no strong points. When going to engineering school maybe spelling should be all four years, as it common knowledge engineers are the worlds worst spellers:(

Auto correct , fat fingers and typing without eye glasses , will make you a dull, dull person ! Sorry for all mistakes , I try but as we all can see I’m not near high quality top shelf at this typing thing yet . I’m a work in progress

No, it was the Outwas that broke from the Ottawas, giving us Inwas and Outwas. Bugs Bunny did a documentawy on it.
The wife says ixnay on strippers accenting my car, darn it.
Pinstriping, there is a fine line between looking good and entirely overdone, just like comedy, I reckon :)

The best pin striping I ever saw was the detail striping on ghost flames on the hood of a 56 Chevy here in Washington. The light had to be right to even see the flames as they were maybe one light coat of pearl that was maybe one shade off the original color, the striping was maybe three shades off the original color and you had to be looking to see it all but when you did WOW it really got your attention.
I'm not a fan of most of the elaborate designs that you see and can't see why guys waste good money having someone stripe a patina or primered rig.
I do like fine line detail striping that accents the actual lines of the car though.

Shirley was stripping before she pulled her first stripes.

She loved striping so much she pulled some stripes on the pole she used while stripping.

Shirley is one of very few that stripes Hotrods and strips for a living...

And now for some cool Striping...

I agree to an extent, but it's all a matter of personal preference and the desired style of the car. If the style is meant to be gaudy and over-the-top, then lots of pin striping is probably appropriate. If the style is meant to be more subtle and understated, then no. My style is probably somewhere in between.

The same can be said for use of flake, lace, panels, and graphics generally. I don't want my car to look like someone's art project. Others may feel differently.

If you can't smoke your tires from a 60 MPH roll, you can always add more flames and pin striping.

There is a classic code of less is more. As long as the design looks sweet and balanced. I like work on a design until I feel it complements the area it's put on. But generally the design gets lost when there's too much going on.

Used to like pin striping more than I do now......sort of like blue dot tail lights. Tommy the Greek style is my favorite, on the right car. Most cars would look better w/o, but there are some exceptions for sure.

It's one thing to target an item and feel it's to much or not enough...perhaps as a whole the package balances itself out...so in eccense this, many Customs and Hotrods are over the top even before the final details...so it's really just just a complimentary finishing element. I guess it's a personal judgement from those taking things in.
