Been building this roadster pick up for about 3 years and finally decided to start a thread. I got the truck basically for free from someone on my wife's side of the family. How she looked when I brought it home- Decided to start fresh with a 2 -8 (2" front sweep and 8" Z in the back) frame from Boling Brothers. Set up for 4 link and 350/350. Getting the front end set up Mustang rear end and suspension set up. Finally a roller!
Started on the bed channel- Rolled it out in the sun to look at the stance now with the channel....Much better! Installed a Mustang tank in the bed and started building a hinged floor.
For some reason, my pictures are not coming over from the host site from my previous post. Had to delete and re-post. Mocking up the dash, steering column and seating. Bomber seat just used for mock up, gonna make a seat later. Started stripping cab and bed
While the cab and bed were off, I put in the motor and trans (327/350) Started working on the top irons and windshield post I didn't like the profile so I chopped the post another 2" (4" total chop)
Working on the bed wood and floor hinge system Installed the radiator and shell Built some tail light mounting brackets and mounted up the lights I still have a long ways to go. Many thanks to dodgerodder for his detailed thread "back in black" RPU build for inspiration and build ideas!
