I have a 59AB in my 39 Deluxe Coupe with a Mallory Unilite that is running a set of Taylor wires now. I can't run the stock wire looms tubes and they look like ****. I want to run the stock wire loom tubes with braided wires and rajah clips but the only braided plug wire available that I have been able to find for use with the electronic ignition is 7.8mm while the rajah clips require 7mm and the only braided wire in 7mm I can find is solid core. I realize there is 7mm plug wire in black that will work with electronic ignition but don't want that.
I see where there have been members here that have ignored the warnings and used the solid core wires. Any experience both good and bad would be appreciated and if anyone found a 7mm braided wire that is not solid core or maybe I should swap back to a good ol points disy.

    I bought these,

Added Brillman's Rajal ends without issue and shoved them in chrome wire separators. I do remember adding a small shot of WD40 down the tubes to aid install. I run a MSD ignition and BTM box that prohibited solid core wire. Runs great, looks perfect. Flatheads forever...or at least for now.
    Judge for yourself.

  3. I run Pertronix ignitions on all of my Farmall tractors with solid core spark plug wires. They run great and never give trouble, but only see maybe 1600 RPM. We also use wires from Brillman Company too with electronic ignition

That is what I was worried about the rajah clips fitting on the 7.8 wire.

Brillman now has suppression wires in braids, as well. MUCH less expensive than anywhere else.

When I had a dual point I ran 7 MM and Ragah terminals and worked fine with the solid core braided wires. Upgraded to electronic and now have to run the 7.8 MM and am using Taylors myself. Liked the note above and checked out Brillman, wires look great but they only have the 7 MM ends. Bummer.

Brillman wires & ends, Mallory Electronic Distributor, Speedway looms (a very tight fit). Works well/matches the American Auto Wire Nostalgia harness. IMG_0166.JPG

Thanks guys for the great pics, looks like I can use the rajah clips with the 7.8mm wires. Will contact Brillman.
I'm running the 77mm solid core wires with the rajah's on my 36.

Did you get the 7.8mm wire to work with the 7mm Rajah fittings?

0.8mm is 0.0314". I would think that they could be compressed ~0.030".
