I'm considering buying a set of cheap set of headers intended for a Ford 221-302W-351W
and hacking them up for installation on yer typical orphan oddball 4-cylinder.

This 4-cylinder has equidistant exhaust ports, as does the 302, soooo...would someone please measure the centerline distance, exhaust port-exhaust port on their Windsor?:)

    Roughly 4 3/8 to 4 7/16 on a set of headers I have.

Wowsers, THANX! That was quick...I did have time to hit the beer cooler, I mean "refrigerator", though!

I was figuring somewhere near the nominal bore spacing number (4.38) but observed measure (4.375-4.4375) is super-helpful too.

I'm pickin' up the motor tomorrow, and then I'll know just how bad I'll have go all Genghis Khan on those headers. Heh-heh.

Would 4 3/8" plus an RCH have been easier to understand? ;)

Oooh, more technical jargon--an "RCH"...I gets it now! More precise a term than "SWAG".:p
