A GAS CAN, that is the most important. cash is also important. flash light, extra belts, cell phone and all the tool that Chopped50ford. and don't forget your girl friend/ wife or buddy to help you push you home. and if I forgot something someone will post it.......
Another *MUST* is an ***ortment of fuses....I don't think anybody mentioned those..... Also, a set of jumper cables resides under my seat along with the tow strap... Brucie
If you are like me, it doesn't matter what you bring, because whatever goes bad will need the one tool you don't have.
Somebody's gotta post a scan of the old Rodder's Journal article showing the long trip emergency kit in Vern Tardel's roadster...a complete Ford agency stuffed under a roadster seat, topped of with a skeleton stock .22 to supply chow during lengthy repairs...
I think this is the post you're looking for Nick http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86661&highlight=tools
