A long time ago there was this thread. In this thread, everyone was talking about what tools they bring on road trips and stuff like that.

Ive searched but i cannot find it. Can anyone help me find it? Please and thank you.

With all the tools that you own you won't have the one you need. I vote for a cell phone.

boones has alot of miles on his wagon..

and his list is pretty damn complete.. however I also carry a digital VOM (meter) and I have 3 extra lug nuts Zip tied to one of the lug nut holes on my spare tire..

most problems I have had on the road were electrical.. and remember all electrical problems start with a bad ground..

    in addition

I have most of the "necessary" repair parts for my car "hidden" in my car.. and I have a "map" of where they are..

    these parts include..

    an extra holly red pump.
a spare module and coil for my hei.
a spare flange yoke and "special" u joint (should I have a failure.)

    and finally a tow strap..

Another *MUST* is an ***ortment of fuses....I don't think anybody mentioned those.....

Also, a set of jumper cables resides under my seat along with the tow strap...

If you are like me, it doesn't matter what you bring, because whatever goes bad will need the one tool you don't have.

Somebody's gotta post a scan of the old Rodder's Journal article showing the long trip emergency kit in Vern Tardel's roadster...a complete Ford agency stuffed under a roadster seat, topped of with a skeleton stock .22 to supply chow during lengthy repairs...
