They are constructing hotels and additions to existing ones all over the place. None seem that they will be open this time around.

For the bowling alley crowd I read that a grand reopening is scheduled for Sunday May 28th. That may affect that weekend if they actually aren't reopened before that.

The stink pit is still alive and well in the library parking lot. Seems to be low on the list of things to get fixed.

It looks like the new Good Ole Burger (same area new complex) should be open by then, you may even have parking available.

Gas prices **** like everwhere else plus a little more. $3.39 best as of yesterday.

  2. Ugh... ok now what's the good news? ;) I don't think our '50 Plymouth will be ready by then but we are coming down for just Friday regaurdless.

Still my favorite show, hands down-- Can't beat the lil' town charm!

    Thanks for the updates.

I'm sure the grand opening of the bowling alley is a conscious decision.

I'll be there Thursday in the '47!

I planed my move so I could be back in CA in time for Paso and I can't wait. Paso was the first show I ever went to that had tradional hot rods and kustoms, and I have yet to miss it since. About 6 or so years now.

  9. This past Sat I spoke with Vida Lee about the Cherry Bombs Annual "Friday" night party at the Bowling Alley. She said she secured the show for the Paso Robles Elks Lodge. It will be all ages w/ full bar and food served all night. She has Cari Lee & the Saddle-ites as well as Vicki Tafoya & the Big Beat set to perform. I asked about Saturday and she said music will remain free in the park during the day and Saturday night she had no idea what the Shifters had planned.

Pretty much park anywhere you can. Sometimes you'l get lucky and find a spot in the shade south or west of the show.
