I am planning to go to the Bulletproof show. After reviewing the website I see they say no wheels made after the 60's. I have a set of newer ET five spokes (15"F/16"R). Would these wheels be a problem? Do I have to run my old steel wheels? Five spokes may have been made back then but the sizes and the fact that they are not old wheels might be a hanging point. What do you guys think. Also the windows are the light grey tint, Is that a problem? GM Column? The car is a 1940 ford coupe. Flat black paint.
Sounds like you are ok, but its not my show. I think the wheel criteria is to keep out later mags from the 80s and newer. But I'd post a pic... KIRK! can see it and tell you for sure.
The wheels shouldn't be an issue, Dude... ...last year's "Best Kustom" award went to a VAN....painted like the GENERAL LEE!! (and Bo & Luke were probably like four years old in 1964!! ) I hear Mr T is bringing his van this year!!! Just come and have fun!!!
While on this topic, my buddy has a 65 chevy cool car, and wanted to know if he could bring it. Pretty stock car and Rudy likes it .
OK, looks like two questions here... 1) If the wheels are a reproduction of a '60s wheel, they're cool. We're more concerned with no billet wheels. 2) Technically we can't let the '65 in.
If I may and Kirk doesn't mind... sounds like those wheels would get into the Pileup as well if they are indeed reproductions of a 60s wheel. The '65 wouldn't. FYI, stockers are not being let in either this year. Updated criteria is forthcoming at the Pileup site.
i went there and disney..like unv stud/ better..check out them threads..someone shoulda kick the **** outta me!! fukin early 80's
I think I might cruz into ****ord on Sunday to read all the signs I've been hearing are up around town. Some pretty funny ****. Will probley head to Bakers too for a few minutes.
I used to live on the east side. About 7 years ago I moved out here to be closer to work. I live on a dirt road now! Really different.
I have a question that I wonder if I can get cleared up. On the billetproof site, the list of what is considered acceptable is up, but it's confusing me. In one spot, it says pre-65, then a bit downwards, it's pre-64. Does that mean 65 is included, or 64 is the newest that will be accepted? I'm not trying to nitpick, I'm just really lost. I'd love to enter my car, but it's a '66 (So it's obviously out regardless of the outcome of the above), and I won't be able to arrive til after 2 or 3pm. Maybe one day though.
