Technical is there an OEM mechanical fan with more backspace?

    Look at the early 60’s Falcon 6 cyl. The fans were fairly small. I had a 5 blade on off of one. It was maybe about 12-14” across

    No...I did not forget that. Frank's photo indicated the distance between the front of the fan pulley and the belt sheave should be adequate to accommodate both a fan moved back 3/4 of an inch or so and the stock belt track. In any case, it was just an idea that 'might' have some utility.....perhaps not.

  4. That's what I've seen on 2 '36 Fords with a 283 and a stock fan (without firewall mods).
