sorry to get a little off topic, but I'm sure a handful of members have this LP collection. I need to know, from those that have listened to the albums, are the skips recorded onto the discs? I know it says that the surface noise is normal because they were recorded straight form LP, but the copy I have was used, the discs are a little warped, and there are some skips in my fvaorite songs. I can't seem to locate the scratches causing this, so I need to know if I should be on the lookout for a better condition set, or if the scratches are part of the recording? thanks!
well, considering it's two LP's of all traditional hot rod songs, yeah, I only say a "little". Believe me , I've seen worse. And since you took the time to respond, maybe you have an answer for me?
its not off topic at all. forget what he said. i have a first production LP set and havent noticed any skips. there are a couple poor recorded songs that sound distant but hey. a few of those songs are extremely rare. hope this helps.
definitely helps- There were some water spots all over mine when I got it, think it just must be scratched. I'll keep my eye out for a mint condition set, thanks!
I've noticed some recorded pop and hiss in older tracks on the albums but no skips. I started to capture the two albums to cd last summer but never finished the job. I should get back to that. Mike
