We were pouring about 32 yards of concrete yesterday. We were waiting for the third truck to back up the hill and all of a sudden my brother heard a huge thud. I couldn't hear **** because I was standing next to a concrete pump that was running. Then the house owner comes rippin towards us and said the truck "FELL" over. I thought it was just stuck andleaning over but when we got over there I saw that it fell off the hill to road below. It was still running. The driver cut up his head and hurt his side. I jumped down there to help him up, he was pretty shaken but not seriously hurt. If he hadn't of been wearing his seat belt who knows how beat up he would of been. Also the narrow road he landed on is on the edge of a large hill, thanks god he didn't roll down that or he wouldn't of survived.
I took him to the hospital to get checked out but I think he was okay maybe some broken ribs.
The truck probably has to be dismatled to be removed. It has 8 yards in the barrel and they said it weighs around 77,000 lbs.

The only good thing is now I have the day off so I can **** around and relax before driving up to PASO.

The Barrel broke off of the frame and the only thing holding it was some hydraulic lines. If you look at the first pic the mechanic is disconnecting them. He was a fraid that they were under tension and would snap back and hit him. They were planning on draggin the truck away from the barrel and flippin it onto it's wheels. I thought it was gonna take a while for them to get it removed.
I was just coming from the bank and on the road in front of me were about five Kustoms and behind me was a flat trailer with the barrel on it.
I guess those guys busted *** and got it removed.
    So much action!!
There is a car show at every gas station in my town right now. This is usually where all the L.A. guys stop to gas up before makin it to paso.

Have a good weekend everybody and keep your wheels on the road!

We had something like that years ago. A mixer was parked in a gravel drive on the southside of Indy making a pour. It's weight collapsed the ba*****t wall of the house and the truck fell through the side of the house and into the ba*****t. That drew a few gawkers!

    mabey even a week.:D
I bet it was difficult for the driver to clean out his pants with those ribs banged up. I feel for the guy.

wonder what he was saying to himself as the rig was going over...."oh shiiii..."comes to mind, but I would bet there were a few more colorful phrases in there as well...

  17. Hope that "concrete" truck driver has his resume fluffed up. He'll be using it.
