Looks like 5 by 5.5 inch bolt pattern 16x4 inch 40 bent spoke (not adjustable) wire wheel with a 5.75 inch hub cap opening. Inside it has the markings US PAT PEND and KH so presumably Kelsey-Hayes? NOTE that it has a flat indentation around the valve stem hole that I have not seen on any of my other wheels, so I am extra curious about this and what car it was made for. Thanks!
Yup, a 16" bent spoke Kelsey-Hayes meant for a 28-35 Ford. I'd guess the divot at the valve stem is just a production revision thing. Your's might be early, or late, production.
The Buick wheel is wider, the short spokes on the inside are longer than the Ford and the bolt circle is 5 on6".Mine are made by motor wheel.
Take a very close look at the wheel in post one below: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachments/img_0149-jpg.4111667/ then look at the catalog pic that 302 put up..and the close up of HRP's red wheel.. the Ford wheel's longest outside spokes do cross twice, but the crossing at the hubcap point, they cross much more than the OP's wheel. The Op's wheel spokes barely cross there at the cap hole area.
Thanks for the information guys! I took a picture of my wheel from about the same angle as the red wheel and I think they look pretty much the same, including the crossing of the spokes near the hub.
Maybe confirm it with somebody giving the Ford Hub Cap hole measurement? If it was a non-Ford wheel, chances are fairly high that the hole size would be different.
Thanks, yeah, from another thread I see that the hub cap opening is about 5 3/4 inch for a Ford wheel which matches the hub cap opening on my wheel. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...wheels-wire-bent-spoke.1109916/#post-12596614
