    @mad mikey -
    That's a badass looking pair of '55s. Interesting how both have the front splash aprons removed. Plus the HT has Nomad wheelwells grafted on.
    The 'axle setup is nice, too.

    Thanks that's about what I thought. More proof that not all '55's had radiused wheel wells, even with a straight axle up front. I have a whole file of gassers that were not radiused from back in the day. I'm still on the fence about if I'm going to radius ours or not. Some days I'm ready to go out cut, some days I want to leave it alone. Can't make up my mind, I like them both ways. The biggest factor in the matter is I don't want to mess up the old patina paint by cutting and welding on it.

  4. Always thought the DORSEY AUTOMOTIVE 55 is a tough, no nonsense looking gasser. Love it.:)

  5. Oh yea. The Shiftmaster 55 is also a strong running, fast car.

  6. Nice clean Mochine...

    Both of those 55's are owned by Eric Koopmieners. Both have high winding 301's with 4 speeds. Notice the gold one has stock front suspension and the bronze one has a cross spring and drop axle.

    LB, judging from the length of the open door and the passenger rear window seen through the car, it's a 2 door 150 sedan.

    @gasser-a-go-go -
    Hell yeah! Looks like a Bel Air. Do you plan to put the fender spears on it? I see the pins at the fender corners, tilt? Go, man, go!
    *Edit - Now I see the pins on the splash pan. How about the hood? Nice detail on the quarter trim with the black insert.

    I don't know if I'm going to put the front Spears on I'm also trying to decide if I'm going to put the Chevy script on the fenders. It's a Bel-air car but I think at some point the front end was replaced with lower model. I'm guessing it had a fiberglass front end at one point it it's life. the hood opens normally and we have the rest of the front end on pins you just pull six pins, three on each side and the whole front end walks off all metal with opening Hood. I still keep going back and forth on radius and it just cuz I don't want to mess up the awesome patina paint. I'm going to start a new build thread on this car.

    Thank you, I did the whole dash to match the front grill, just with smaller holes. I think it turned out awesome!
