I've got a Lincoln Versailles 9" in my 32. To keep the rear brakes adjusted properly, the emergency brakes need to be used regularly...to actuate the adjusters. I know how to set up the brake handle/cable, but I'm not quite sure how to attach/route the cable ends on the calipers. Can anyone point me to a diagram, photo, or attachment procedure...or tell me how to do it properly? Thanks, guys...
so sorry...just went thru this.i started with lokar brake cables, made custom mounts to hold them...got all done using a stock pull handle on my 40....it didn't work.got to reading about the lincoln versaille and found out that the pull has to be much longer...they show a diagram of how to make a brake multiplier, which increases the throw.it is mounted on the frame.give me till monday and i will take pics or find where i got the info.it is not easy, but you are right, you need it for brake adjustment.they tell you to use it often
Hi Vert, I'm embarking on the same journey with the versailles parking brakes on a 32'...would it be possible to get that info? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brian
Vert1940, I found your old post on the versailles parking brake. It would help me alot to get a copy of the info you are talking about. Thanks Larry
I picked up a Ford that has the Versailles rear disc setup. Wanted to see if anyone has reference on adjustments to the e-brake system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
