I have a few small projects planned for my car this winter. One of them is getting the clock working. Someone in the past removed the wire going to it. Did the factory put a inline fuse to it or does it just run from a constant 12 volt source?

It uses a small stubby fuse about half the size of a regular one. I don't recall the amperage.

they make tachs that fit in there nicely if the clock thing doesnt work out for you. the clock doesnt constantly draw power however it does need constant power. use a 3amp fuse to protect it. the clocks electric motor winds up the clock then shuts off till the black wheel rotates all the way and closes the circuit for a few seconds to wind up the clock again. dont use wd40 to lube as it collects dust and will soon jamb up anything you loosen in those cogs. graphite spray works best.
