    So I just bought a '64 Ranchero for my daily, but I can't quite figure which direction to go with it, or even a color for that matter. I know there are a lot of talented photochoppers on here, and a lot of good ideas, so I thought I'd try to pic everyones brains. Here's what I'm thinkin' lowered, suede paint, maybe gloss contrasting colored top, maybe some old fake shop truck lettering down the bed sides. Steelies with spider caps, Astro Supremes, Cragar wires, anyway there will be pinner whites. Option 2, a street tough look. Widened steelies on the rear, skinny front runners like Cragar ss, or Tourque Thrusts. Solid color, with a nose high stance. This isn't my car I stole this pic off of Cardomain. Any ideas or comments will be appreciated. Thanks, Barn-core

    Hell it's a clean lookin' truck. Just reset the stance and keep the rest like it is.

    Or use the white one as a guide...it's the best lookin' ranchero I've seen too.

    thed3vl, all I can say is wow, I think that may be a little extreme for a daily driver though. Thanks for the comments guys, but the picture I posted isn't mine, I stole it from Cardomain. Mines clean, but not quite that pretty. Mines red with chrome smoothies, and it's in need of some change. Keep 'em comin' guys. Thanks, Barn-core.

  9. Bolt on a 65 mercury comet front clip wth the cyclone hood... remove the roof completly .including behind the seat. replace windshield /cowl with a ragtop unit .. use hard top/ convert doors... add two 3 point pencil clip roll bars .. match up the rear wheel wells to the fronts add kidney bean halibrand wheels
    almost instant 2 door pheaton;;
    leave the six cuz your out of money now
    good luck

    Paperdog, I had actually thought of the Comet front clip, if I can find one, I'll probably do that. The rest of your idea sounds pretty bitchin' too, but again, this is my daily driver. As far as leaving the six, it's already got a 302, so I'm covered there. Pyro, I can't get your file to open, but thanks for the effort anyway. Anyone else?

    Thanks Barn-core,
    i was bored so i made another one...

    maybe it's a little too low... but i say let it scrape!
    I put the rear bumper in the front beacuse the stock one looked big and heavy and didn't fit the car at all.
    I also shaved it and put some old wheels on it, i think they're of a buick

    Thanks pyro, that's clean lookin'. thed3vl that last ones a little more my speed. I think the body lines on this car lend itself well to a taildraggin' stance, it looks like a rocket taking off! I would like to see it with a bit more color though, like a light suede green, chrome reverse with spider caps, and pinner whites. Thanks, again guys.

    Its actually not that difficult changing the colors, you just mark the area you want to color with the "lasso" tool. When its marked you chose in the menu: Image\Adjustments\Channelmixer, here you can "mix" the color of your own choice. :)

    I dont really know if its the same in Photoshop elements 2.0, as I´m using Photoshop CS2!

    This guide shows some of the most used "car-mods" http://www.digimods.co.uk/tutorials/tutorials.htm

    I like the basic look of the car. I added a little more meat to the C piller. I am thinking about the rear fender wells But not sure what to do yet.
