Projects 34 Ford coupe nicknamed "Blown Income"

Confused here; did the family friends of the guy that had the title steal the 34 from him? If not, how did those friends get the car and sell it to the people you initially got it from? Interesting story, just wondering. Glad you got it back and you were very generous to buy it twice - or is this reasoning incorrect? Thanks for any more information!

 

This whole shit-story pisses me off so much, I don't want to know or read another damn thing. How anyone in law enforcement or the courts can think this is proper is beyond me!! What a bunch of bullshit!!!!!

 

That will be the always elusive truth I want to find. I have no idea anymore. I know he was claiming insurance fraud but did he have the friends take the car. Did he give them the car and not the title to screw them later. They told me their house burned. He told me they were kicked off the farm. I have no idea about anything anymore. It’ll be one big black patch in my story on the car. I’m just going to keep moving and get this 34 on the road and cruise the shit out of it

Glad you got it back, and love how your going to change the good stuff to the 33. The 34 has bad karma, and so does Ron Rippoff.

holy shit what an emotional roller coaster! the worst part being your mom's passing...I read the whole thing but some parts were never clear...like if Ron built it and had title in his deceased mother's name then whose Grampa was storing it? the former neighbor? did they sell the car out from under Ron's nose? and take it off his property? or was it on the property of the people whose house burned down? did they state he sold or gave it to their Grandpa? Where I am only the executor of an estate or the person named in a will can apply for registration...since the "estate sale" people didn't have a bill of sale from Ron's mother that means the neighbor/family friend did literally steal the car and his family had no legal rights to sell unless they can prove a disclaimer like "as is where is" or "parts only" was expressly consented to by the "in between" buyer. They should be charged with fraud, misrepresentation or taken to civil court and made to pay the $35k ... and that Ron guy is a Dick with a capital D since when is a crusty relic forgotten about for 30 yrs. worth that? Only because of your engine and the work you did... in '97 as a non running out of fashion ex hot rod it was worth about 7k what a greedy c*nt....you got held for ransom for your engine. Same thing happened to a '56 Ford SD my uncle had abandoned on his property for years he sold to a guy who sank $50 k into it went to regi it and found out it was stolen from Ontario in the '70's the original owner got a beautiful hot rod he got it free and clear and the builder got the shaft

 

What a nightmare ordeal! At least in the end you got the car back, even if you had to pay a kings ransom.
Am i correct in reading your taking everything you put into the 34 into the 33? What is the plan 34 after that?
P.S. I think the blackwalls look better, but did that ass hat put the scoop an backwards or did you turn it around for the tow home?

Wow....I read the entire thread and I don't know whether to offer congratulations or sympathy. It's nice you got a 33 tho. I changed my 34 [avatar] over to 33 front clip and modified the doors to look like 33s.
Man, what an ordeal. My dad died in winter of '05 and I wasn't able to drive out to Oregon to deal with the will/estate etc etc 'till April of 06. The Model A pickup he had restored had been in our family since new in '30 and when I got there it was gone. First thing I did was put the title in my name and call the police. It's never been found.

Its great you got it back - the buying it a second time sucks though. The next nightmare will be trying to recover your money from the first seller. You can surely win a cash judgment against them but collecting it will be the challenge

 

He’s actually a really good guy and said he’d pay me off. So that’s a plus
