Who, in your opinions, would make the best Candy Yellow as close to the one Larry Watson painted the original Mysterion with? Furthermore, what would YOU use to get the color match.....mixture, straight, etc? Information and time greatly appreciated... J&K
Just thinkin'.... what if you were to start with something like PPG's "Concept Yellow", and then used toners to achieve the color?
Check out the new PPG Vibrance color chips at your local autmotive paint dealer, they have a very nice pearl candy yellow.
Check with this guy. He just built the Mysterion clone: "Dave called and asked me to post an invitation for all HAMB/GMB's. He's having a hot rod BBQ on Satuday May 20th at his fibergl*** estate outside of Grand Rapids Anytime after 10am is fine, the party will last all day. Dave and his wife will have plenty of yummy bugers, dogs, buns and chips but ask that you bring your own beverages and if you feel so inclined, feel free to bring a dish to p*** as well. If you've never been to his place your in for a special treat. Not only will he have his latest creation on display but all his memorablia is something to behold. If your planning on attending either email him at dmshuten@aol.com or call him at 616-681-9062. I'll keep an eye on this thread and PM those that are planning on attending with his address." I'm sure he would love to hear from you and may even have some left over paint???
Thanks for the tip,old buddy....While we are at it, reckon it could'nt hurt to ask what kind of material he used to do that silver seat with the horizontal pleats and piping? J&K

Thanks guys....the silver zodiac flake seat was to be our choice as well, even though the original mysterion was solid silver,I believe.....quite appropriate for a Krate......
