AKA - Fields & Forests Tour

Back from Phil & Ratty's well-organized run over some of the narrowest, bumpiest, muddiest, & wettest Norfolk roads - had a great time - too busy driving to take many pics, but I know Artiki got some great video of a barking mad Scot (Dave) doing donuts in his...thing (I hate to say rat rod...)

Nice small gathering (20-30 cars), plenty of BBQ & beer - even some musical entertainment from some of the boys in the pub afterwards!

Here are the few pics I took:

This was at our first stop - the 100th Bomb Wing Museum

A quick stop after the mud to make sure the mad Scot made it through - the pics here don't do the mud justice - whilst I was warm & cozy in the sedan, the roadster drivers (the overwhelming majority of attendees) were soaking wet, covered in mud...and loving it!

Another quick stop for a train to go by...

Sadly, that's all I took & the rest of the guys can fill in the rest - Artiki & Banger can tell all about their five abreast banger race...

Finally, a big thank you to Phil (monkeybiker) & Ratty (Ratty) for the weekend - Phil's away on a camping holiday now for some well-deserved rest & family time.

There's no telling - the maps provided were quite...errm...unique. But you're only 7 miles from everything! ;D All I know was we began & ended in Tibenham!

Afterwards, many folks went to Ratty's do in Norwich - here's a thread on UK NSRA site w/pics:

Ahh, my best side! Haha! ;D

Preventative fuel filter cleaning! Still struggling with a bit of rust in the old tank...

  9. Too true - glad everyone enjoyed themselves, no egos to bolster, nothing to prove, just fools abroad in the countryside. Getting ever so slightly damp...
Been away on my hols, but here's a few pics I took along the way.

Great pics guys. The pothole donut video was very funny. The weather looks like it does here in New England. I looks like your having a blast anyway.

  15. My favourite fresh car out is Neil's A Sports Coupe. He begun building this shortly after it rolled off the production line I've been told.
That's his cowboy print wigwam behind it. Of which I can say no more other than it matches his bedroom wallpaper...

And a car is LOW, when it's knee high to a knee-high Scotsman. Only the cups of tea to let you know this isn't California, eh?

I don't care how dirty you are Phil, you can ride in it any time, I may even toss you the keys, I owe you at least one drive of it.

He was flashing his licence, thankfully that was all he flashed!
