To be honest though, the scene up here isn't that big, things like swap meets and car shows are no wheres near the size of ones in the USA. And there really isn't many shops around, I'd say more drag racing shops then hot rod ones. I'll always remember the advice a instructor gave to my brother after he got his welding ticket, he told him there just isn't enough demand for that kind of work up here, to start your own shop. I know people here have but there isn't enough business up here, to support that many shops. But I agree you can always find some old cars in Langley crusin around.

Try to make it for the BBQ Bop in Vancouver, mid July -
Watch the Flatblack board for local events...

  8. Where bouts on the island you talkin.
I'm in Shawnigan Lake, bout 30 minutes north of Victoria.
I run my own low key hot rod shop the Wayback Garage building rods and kustoms.
Heck I might even need someone by the time you get up here.
When you come up look me up and we'll show you 'round and hangout with us Stickshifts.
The scene is ok up here,we make the odd pilgramidge to Washington.
If you wanna hit some good shows Slick is right with the Roadkutters BBQ B-Bop July 15th,the Torchmen BBQ is July 9th and our Island Invasion hot rod weekender is in August.
Sign up on our board like Jethro said and keep in touch......Shiny
