I came across this flyer at a resale shop, looks like it might be a cool show. Anyone ever been to it? I plan to go to the Iola swap thursday and/or friday so i could still make this show too. hey.... it's DOLLAR BEERS! How can you go wrong?
Trying to get all the early deals huh, Iola is July 6-9 not June. anyway I saw something about this show also, might have to check it out......Mike
Iola is right next to Hell, at least for those couple days in July. 130 degrees and fifty thousand lawyers and public accountants in Nascar shirts wandering around talking about how cool that "antique" bumper looks and if they still had that Volarie from when they were in high school....Sorry, I just had to rant. Iola is a great show, I just don't play well with others. I'll be there all weekend.
I knew that...I was just testing you My HAMB calander doesn't have little boxes to write stuff in...i get confused sometimes.
I believe the owner of lucky"s gave me a flyer at the the local cruise night here in town, nice guy ! He said he's been a lurker on here.....I'll be there in the 53 !
haha......heaven or hell.....kinda the same, the campsite and the cold beer is what makes it a show....
It is on Hwy 10 between Fremont and Weyawega. North of Sunset Curve, just before the Weyawega hill. It is across the street from the old iron pile they liquidated back in Oct. Some of you know, the pile of old mustangs that the guy would never sell, most of which ended up on a slow boat to china coming back as lawnmowers. I will be there. Looks like fun. Free admission, free food if you bring your car and $1 beers, HELL YEAH! That is how a show should be.
This was a fun show. Beer line was kind of long, but then they were only $1! Anyone else go to this? I had my '57 Lincoln. Couldn't miss me, I was the only one with rus besides some piece of crap 85 mustang. I should have stuck around for trophies, I probably would have gotten one, I didn't see too many in the primer class. Food was okay and cheap. I was very impressed with this show, everything was free or cheap. Most impressed with the fact that the kid who puts on the show is only 19 years old. I talked with his mother for a while. His father doesn't care for the car stuff and she helps him out with it. She said they made $3 on the show last year but really enjoy doing it anyway. I see this show growing to a decent size and staying cheap. More shows should be like this! I bought a ford rear end with trac loc and disc brakes for $40 from one of the swappers. What a deal!!
