I know I posted some construction shots before. Well I cleaned it up and snapped a few photos.... After 2 years of work my summer daily driver awaits!
Believe it or not, it was the embroidered sleeve of a sweatshirt I once owned. I had the upholsterer sew it into the door panel.
I like it, simple and to the point the only thing that sticks out like dogs balls is the yellow brake drums on the front. no front shot so not sure if the front end is yellow? even if it was , I would be inclined to mask of the wheel mounting surface and paint it flat black so its invissable when the cars viewed side on. cheers.
Nice! I like them dodge coupes. they look all prechopped and ready to roll to me is that a four speed in there? I bought a shifter off ebay that looks like that on the top but its for an automatic
Rich drove from L.A. his 34 Plymouth to Paso this weekend, the first show it has been too and it is really cool, I need to get back on my 33 and finish it. Yours really inspires me, nice job.
Just to let all you HAMBers know "Chaz" is too damn humble and the pics don't do it justice, Its way better in person! Thanks again for the tour. s.
I've got a four speed for it, but no place to put a third pedal! The shifter is an old 60's Hurst "INDY" shifter. They start in any gear with no lockout.... Got mine off Ebay, too . 24 bucks.. I'm sure it'll seem like a great deal until I drive through the back of the garage !! But hey, Its traditional! Same with the red spark plug wires and red fuel line... Sumpin cool about a deathtrap!
I didn't have a neutral safety switch on mine, I had been jumping 2 wires uner the hood for a temporary ignition and started it in gear at a fast idle and nearly ran into the end of the house so I made one out of a old GM brake light switch that only lets it start in park now I feel ripped off now I paid 32.00 for mine
Does the sleeve make the car smell like BO when it sits in the sun? The floor mats make it! Good job man.
