I just love photos like this, He's obviously proud of the new car.
But check out the background with a few cheap used 40's cars cars and what looks like a new housing estate with very few trees.

My dad and my uncle bought new '64 Impala wagons, we got the white on blue (I still love that ice blue interior) 300 hp 327, power glide and AC. My mom's daily and used to tow the flat bottom to the river. I still have the 327 out of it.
My uncle ordered the blue on blue, also the 300 hp engine, 4 speed trans, dash mounted tach and posi rear, it was my aunts daily.

I wish I had either one today.

Love the Vee windshields on these Auburns
Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky was way ahead of his contemporaries when he designed that car.

And years ahead of George H Duvall who made famous the same style windshields bearing his name

Often found it odd to see photos of assembly lines with two different body platforms being built at the same time.
I bet the guys that fired those engines for the first time hated those heavily oversprayed exhaust manifolds.
