    Funny thing, before I went to Vietnam in 69 those cars were "common as crabs" on LI. My friend bought a green roadster brand new because this blonde chick wouldn't go out with him unless he had a Corvette. My girl friend worked at a Carvel ice cream stand and the owners son had a silver roadster that he let me borrow one night. Man those cars were fast. Motion was on LI and modified a lot of these cars.

    It would be interesting to know how fast this 63 ran at Bonneville. The wedge shaped nose
    was not exactly designed for high speed. I would guess that the driver had his hands full
    at any speed over 120 mph.

    Steve I believe the car as it sits now resides in the Pacific Northwest. If my memory serves me the body was removed and the car somewhat restored (chassis and drivetrain) but the body was polished out and some touch up probably. I would prefer blackwalls but the car is pretty nice and with those wheels whitewalls are not out of character).
