Customs One piece tilt/slide front end hinge

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Larry Shelton, Dec 28, 2018.

  1. Need help designing a slide forward/ tilt hinge for a fibergl*** one piece front end. I need ideas for the slide forward then tilt hinge. Replacing all steel with gl*** after the wreck:(This is def not the way ya wanna get a little on the side!!!! I have seen a few on HAMB posted and do like the post by SWADE 41 as a horizontal "C" bracket bolted or welded to the frame rail. I would greatly appreciate any others offered up. My front clip and suspension is from a 70 Nova. I was thinking about a square tube in a square tube with a slot cut in the top of the bigger tube and a hinge welded to the inner tube that would slide out before tilting. Still thinking, still looking. Plenty of other metal and gl*** work to do as well. Thx., to all..
