I really had fun splicing, blending, and forming an inspirational vision together for Hamber @Runnin shine who continues his adventure in creating a running vision of the Yesteryear...

Saw the posts by 40 StudeDude and it reminded me that I have an original Dave Bell hanging in my closet. Dave did the art work for a Street Rod Parts business I had about 25 years ago. It's not the greatest photo, but here it is.

 

Can you say Henry Hi-Rise...Stude has certainly nailed his style and injected some of his own as well...I certainly did my share of Street Rodder in the 70s, 80s. and yeah brings you back a little for sure.

Thank you Stogy...took me a lot of studying Bell's style to capture it...FWIW, I used to sign all my art with "Swell," an homage to Bell...as you can see in one of my very first "Bell type" illustrations -- my own '40 Studebaker coop -- this illustration dated July, 1978 and prolly at the height of Dave Bell's popularity...but not near as accurate in his style as many of my later illustrations...

Thanx to all that "liked" my Bell style illustrations...

Maybe that was a spellcheck autocorrect......my phone changes things I've typed all the time...I am constantly fixing my own typos as I revisit posts here and there...but rest ***ured what you fellas type I read...Happy New Year Art...

 

Last chance to throw this one out here before it molders in my camera for another year.
(Didn't discover BNGR had taken a knock to the front-right till after I removed the fenders and bumpers...thought those headlights looked outa whack!)

.... better late than ever ...Working on all new T-shirt designs for 2019 at my dragstripsgone.com. Decided to do most the Old Skool way ...Hand Drawn the way I did them back then., including the lettering. no clip art ,no 'computer font' s ...heres some work in progress

 

This was an inspirational vision for Hamber @ClarkH when he was pondering the use of Cycle Fenders and I thought of the elegant Indian Fender. It remained a vision but I really like his choice and quite frankly any way he sliced it it would rock in my opinion...



I then found by chance a very fitting Vintage Pic and place it respectfully into that scene to create a further vision of interest...

An Update of sorts. I did this artwork as an inspirational gift to a local young fellow who was going through the fight of his life with cancer. I am pleased to report that although he is still going through treatment he is back on his feet doing okay...so this New Year will be a special one for sure.
